DR. DANA MARNANE

Dana Marnane, National Director of Communications and Marketing, Autism Speaks

Dana Marnane is the National Director of Communications and Marketing for Autism Speaks. As the leader of the communications team, Dana promotes and oversees the inception, implementation and effectiveness of Autism Speaks’ awareness and community-building strategies in the United States. She is responsible for building corporate partnership opportunities and press opportunities. She coordinates the activities and publicity around World Autism Awareness Day, and facilitates Autism Speaks’ sharing of their mission and resources internationally.

Dana currently serves on the Global Autism Public Health committee for Ireland and advises on awareness strategies in other countries, including the Philippines, Albania and Qatar. She manages the publicity for the annual International Meeting for Autism Researchers (IMFAR) – the world’s largest gathering of autism researchers and supervised the public relations and communications strategies during the first ever Mexico Autism Congress. Prior to working with Autism Speaks, she spent ten years with national upscale retailer, Lord & Taylor, managing press and charity events.
